With mad[crazy mad, not anger mad] scientists who play with DNA, they've been able to create a flock of human-avian hybrids, erasers[human-lupine hybrids] and are well on their way of creating other species if they carry on. Maximum Ride and her flock used to be stored in cages before they escaped, and now the School want them back.
