Genomex, formerly known as The Breedlove Foundation, is a biotech company dedicated to genetic research. Their employees include some of the top scientific minds in the world, and it was these people who created New Mutants. The victims of their experiments fall under four categories: Elemental, Feral, Molecular and Psionic. Genomex understood perfectly what their experiments would do, but their subjects were kept in the dark, though the late Paul Breedlove did try to warn them.

When New Mutants began appearing in the news, Mason Eckhart, head of security for Genomex, set up The Genetic Security Agency (GSA). Their mission was to recapture New Mutants for further genetic testing. Under Eckhart's command, their ranks include Non-New Mutant Agents and a minority of New Mutants. His Second-In-Command changed weekly, most ending up in stasis pods as instant demotion after a failure.

A small bar outside of Salem Center, about a 20 minute walk from Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The bar itself is a 21-and-up establishment, but the proprietor has occasionally been known to let younger patrons in with responsible adults, provided they don't try and buy liquor.

The Hellfire Club's mansion is located at 840 Fifth Avenue, between 66th and 67th Streets. This places it in Manhattan's East Side, only a few blocks away from the Avengers Mansion. The mansion is the base for the Inner Circle.

Naxcon, once a low-level chemical company owned by Nicholas Fox, Shalimar's father, is now a much larger corporation. Naxcon moved up in the business world thanks to Nicholas' association with Eckhart.

Built by Adam hmself, Sanctuary is well hidden, and to the casual observer, nothing more than a mountain. However, within it's secret depths is both the headquarters and home of those in Mutant X.

Madelyne Pryor learned allot from Sebastian Shaw and his Hellfire Club.
The Sisterhood HQ was built from what she learned there.
One of Shaw's own mansions, squandered away through subtle manipulation and money gained through Shaw's own lessions twisted.
Under the mansion itself is Madelyne's Dungeon and Hellfire Cult meeting rooms.

The School, located in Death Valley, California, this place has nothing to do with education. With mad[crazy mad, not anger mad] scientists who play with DNA, they've been able to create a flock of human-avian hybrids, erasers[human-lupine hybrids] and are well on their way of creating other species if they carry on. Maximum Ride and her flock used to be stored in cages before they escaped, and now the School want them back.

When new mutants need a place to hide, Mutant X places them in any number of safehouses across the US before getting them established in the underground. For some, a life in the underground is literally the only way they'll be free from Genomex and other such corporations.
