First Name: Raven Hex
Last Name: Wytch~haven (her last name is unknown even to her by now, so she chose to go by Wytch~haven)
Age: 30
Height/Weight: 5'6", 145 lbs.
Eyes: White, with only a pupil, no other color to her eyes
Hair: Black
Character description: Raven is vile, plain & simple. She cares only about herself and uses both people and opportunities to garner strength & power. She's spiteful toward humans, and most other mutants, due to her past. She boasts her voluptuous body and femininity by wearing scantily clad clothing.
Persuasion: (good evil neutral) Evil
Type of Creature: Mutant
Powers: Raven's main power is siphoning (similar to Rogue from the X-Men). Where Rogue can tap into another mutants powers with simply a touch of her flesh against theirs, Raven's methods are a bit more evasive. She uses a hypnotic gaze that causes the mutant (or human) to lapse into a sedate state, she then presses her fingers against their temples and connects to their cerebral cortex. In mutants, they quickly become unconscious as she siphons their powers and duplicates them within herself. In humans, the effects are much more severe, as she literally strips away their life energy and they collapse dead at her feet. Because of her siphon abilities, Raven's powers are complex and now outnumber even the most advanced mutant. Her goal is the ultimate destruction of mankind, where she will insert herself as queen over the remaining mutant factions.
History: Raven was born a natural witch and raised in a coven structure with her family. Time and again she was reprimanded by both the coven elders and her parents for delving into the black arts. It was during one devastating Samhain celebration, the one where Raven had just turned 13, that her mutant powers erupted. As the chanting reached a fever pitch among the coveners, Raven screamed, clawing at her hair. A glowing green energy wrapped around her, lifting her above her sisters & brethren. Another scream tore from her throat as her powers burst into being, starved from their dormancy. In a massive blast, her fellow coveners fell unconscious, some still comatose to this day, as she siphoned every bit of energy from the circle. Her mother was fast enough to draw another circle to protect herself and Raven's father, but Raven's growing powers turned and ate at the newly formed circle. Raven was the cause of her father's death, as he summoned the Lord into himself to protect his family and the coven. Raven's own power struck him down, leaving her and her mother alone.
In the coming day, her mother had no choice but to turn Raven over to Genomex. She was kept in stasis for 2 years before they finally got around to seeing what made her tick. None were able to be close to her without falling subject to her siphoning powers, unless she agreed to whatever treatment they offered. At 16, she'd had enough of Genomex and escaped their labs with little difficulty. When her mother learned of this, she turned to a place called The School. Here Raven was subjected to more poking & prodding by another team of scientists until she tired of them too. Destroying one of The School's labs as she left, Raven struck out on her own once more, little than 6 months after leaving Genomex. It seemed there was no help for Raven. Jeb Batchelder, from The School, offered her an opportunity to join Itexicon in their work, and for the time being, she complied. At Itex she used her powers on any number of mutants, absorbing their abilities becoming more formidable herself. Genomex soon heard of this and bought her back from Itex. Raven went willingly, eager to fill herself with more power, completely unaware she'd been bought and sold like cattle.
When she learned that she'd been bought from Itex, her temper (never really kept in check) flared, and Genomex was nearly destroyed. While siphoning Gabriel Ashlocke, who was still in stasis, Raven passed out from the sheer flux of power. She awoke in Mason Eckhart's office. He offered her a place in the GSA, working to capture and contain new mutants, without the effects of a subdernal governor. For almost 2 years Raven was success in this position, until once more her own abilities got the better of her. Instead of brining in the mutants to Genomex, she simply drained them off all mutantcy, leaving a trail of comatose victims, and in some cases, corpses, in her wake.
Raven has traveled the world over, taking whatever she desires, whenever the need strikes her. Over the years, she's met countless mutants, and siphoned nearly all of them. Her hatred for mankind, both human and mutant, has grown, and yet in the deepest part of her psyche she aches for companionship. Raven is now of the mind that she will neither be condemned by her fellow man, (mutants), nor will she ruled by another. An uprising known as The Sisterhood of Mutants, and another under the name of the Hellfire Cult have come to Raven's attention as possible opportunities for her to get exactly what she wants. To rid the world of humans and mutants alike, save those few she can tolerate (generally women over men), and to rule over the world as sovereign queen.
Though Raven has adequate mutant abilities, both her own, and those she's obtained over the years, she also uses her magick and still considers herself a witch.
Character is from (series, book, creator, or author, if it applies): Original, based on Raven Hex from the comic Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose Coven (Broadsword Comics, HUGE THANKS to Jim Balent & Holly Golightly)
